Trump, on Truth Social, posted a meme depicting the Obamas as monkeys.
Press secretary Leavitt in response said initially, “Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”
The post was later deleted and the official word now is that it was a White House staffer who “erroneously made the post.”
