All in the family: Nagoya woman, son suspected of dealing cocaine, marijuana

AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police have arrested a 50-year-old woman and her son for possessing cocaine and marijuana in Nagoya with intent to sell them.
In June, Rie Sato, her son, 30-year-old Yasuya and a 19-year-old boy are suspected of possessing approximately 31 grams of cocaine and marijuana with the intent to sell on a street in Minami Ward.
Police did not reveal whether Sato, who lives in Minami, or the other two suspects admit to the allegations.
Police also seized MDMA and liquid marijuana from locations related to the suspects. The three suspects are suspected of possessing a total of approximately 142 grams of marijuana, cocaine and other drugs — with a street value of 1.33 million yen — for commercial purposes.
Police believe the Sato and her accomplices may have been involved in repeated illegal drug trafficking and are investigating how they obtained the contraband.
