LSU has won seven in a row and sits at 52-15 on the season. The Tigers beat Arkansas in the semifinals to advance to this series.

Coastal Carolina saw its 26-game win streak snapped in Game 1 of this series, dropping the team to 56-12. Still, this is one of the hottest teams in the nation. In the semifinals, the team easily took care of Louisville, winning 11-3.

In Game 1, LSU won 1-0, scoring on an RBI single from Steven Milam in the first inning that brought Derek Curiel around to score. It was a pitcher's duel from there, as LSU managed six hits and Coastal Carolina just three hits. LSU pitcher Kade Anderson pitched a complete game, striking out 10 to move to 12-1 on the year. Cameron Flukey took the loss despite allowing just four hits and striking out nine in six innings of work.
