Man United exit decision breaks 51-year club record in Ruben Amorim’s reset

It’s the end of an era at Old Trafford — literally. As Manchester United prepare to turn the page under Ruben Amorim, three senior players are heading for the exit, and one of them is taking a bit of club history with him.
Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof, and Christian Eriksen will all leave Manchester United this summer, the club confirmed (via official website) after their final Premier League game.
While Eriksen bowed out with a penalty goal and Lindelof played a solid final match, it’s Evans’ departure that quietly marked a record-breaking shift.
Next season will be the first time since 1973–74 that United’s squad won’t include a player who featured under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson era.
Evans, who came through the academy and made his debut in 2007, was the final link to the Ferguson era.
That chain has now snapped after 51 years.
