Anthony Edwards reaches milestones as Timberwolves extend win streak
The Minnesota Timberwolves extended their winning streak to eight games on Sunday, with Anthony Edwards delivering a dominant 41-point performance in a 128-102 victory over the Utah Jazz.
Edwards shot 16-of-27 from the field, draining five three-pointers while adding two rebounds, two assists, and one steal. He set the tone early, scoring 19 points in the game’s first eight minutes as Minnesota seized control.
His latest scoring outburst solidified his place in franchise history. Edwards climbed to third on the Timberwolves’ all-time scoring list with 8,731 career points, trailing only Karl-Anthony Towns (13,121) and franchise legend Kevin Garnett (19,201), per the NBA.
He also set a new franchise record for most 40-point games in a single season, with seven, surpassing the previous mark.
