Delhi Earthquake News Today Live Updates: Strong tremors shook the residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday morning as the National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported an earthquake of magnitude of 4.0.
The earthquake struck at a depth of five kilometres at 5:36 am, the National Centre for Seismology wrote on X. An official said that the epicentre was in south Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan.
Many residents of the national capital shared their reactions on social media platform X, describing the tremors, which last for a few seconds, as “strong.”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people to stay calm and follow safety precautions. He further warned of “possible aftershocks.”
