Jason Momoa Pays Tribute After Young Aquaman Fan He Touchingly Met With During Cancer Battle Dies At 8

DC's movie universe has had its share of hits and misses but one of the biggest hits, perhaps surprisingly, has been Aquaman. Jason Momoa's aquatic adventure is one of the highest grossing movies in the franchise and a sequel is on the way. Unfortunately, one of Aquaman's biggest fans won't be able to see it. An 8-year-old boy named Danny Sheehan whose love for Aquaman was so great he spoke to Momoa, has passed away after a battle with cancer. And now Aquaman himself has dedicated the new film in his honor.
Danny Sheehan of Mashfield, Massachusetts had been battling pineoblastoma, a rare brain cancer, since early 2017. It was while taking pictures of the boy last year that his love for Aquaman was discovered, and it was noticed by Jason Momoa, who then had a video chat with the kid so he could actually talk to Aquaman. When Momoa learned of Sheehan's death, which happened in the early hours of Sunday morning, he posted a touching tribute.
