Cities are starting to ban gas stations. Petaluma, California, has voted to outlaw new gas stations, the first of what climate activists hope will be numerous cities and counties to do so.
Good start. Now let’s cap Kwik Trip and Casey’s, they’re in a disgusting arms race of who can saturate every market in the Midwest.

edit: More information to be found in a subsequent comment. Kwik Trip is a Wisconsin-based chain of c-store/fuel stations primarily located in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. So many that Wikipedia just has 700+ listed.. The owners are the Zietlow family, a hard right bunch with a heavy religious tone. They refuse to sell contraceptives in their stores, for example, and they've built a kind of personality cult within the company as well.
Casey's is a rival chain from Iowa with over 2000 locations across 16 states, often serving similar rural, sub-rural locations, and expanded through acquiring smaller chains and stations.
