I've always been intrigued with the invention of the telegraph. A message sent in ancient Rome would travel faster than it could in early America. It took weeks to get a message from, say, New York to Charleston. Then all of a sudden it could be done instantly. What could we invent in our era to rival that leap in technology? Teleportation?
