Biological carbon sequestration as a fix for fossil fueled global warming is nonsense. You just need to stop burning the fossil fuels.

Also, sequestration schemes - like Canada's "we'll call forests carbon sponges so we can keep exporting super-dirty Alberta tar sands oil" foundered on realities - as global warming progressed, pine beetles invaded from the American Rockies up into Canada and the dead trees burned and released all that 'stored carbon'.

Restoring forests is great, of course, but don't fool yourself into thinking this is would fix fossil-fueled global warming - you just have to stop burning fossil carbon.
