Aaron Goodwin’s Wife Sentenced to Prison

Maybe we won’t have to wait as long as I thought for the Aaron Goodwin Dateline episode about his wife Victoria’s murder-for-hire plot to kill him. If there will even be one, that is. I’m putting the cart before the horse because it’s a Dateline episode I’d like to watch.
However, as fellow restless spirit Maria pointed out, “Since Ghost Adventures works under the Discovery umbrella, I wouldn’t be surprised if they tackled it for one of their ID Discovery specials.”
Good point.
“But no one will probably do/release anything until after the trial,” Maria also sagely noted.
Except, much as I was also hoping for a trial, there won’t be one of those either. Not only did Victoria plead guilty to conspiracy to commit murder, she also “struck a deal — admitting to the conspiracy charge so prosecutors would drop the solicitation to commit murder count,” per TMZ.
Which is why she’s already been sentenced, mere months after her arrest. (I don’t know where I was, but it happened on June 5.)
Aaron Goodwin’s Wife’s Shocking Sentence
Am I the only one shocked at her sentence? No, she didn’t actually kill anyone, but it seems like it should’ve been more. Of course, her plea deal also helped cut it down.
Anyway, she’ll only have to serve between 36-90 months (three to seven and a half years) for hiring Florida inmate Grant Amato to kill Aaron.
As expected, the sentencing was pretty emotional. Victoria cried when apologizing to Aaron for breaking them and making such poor life decisions.
But it’s clear the toll this has taken on Aaron. He bawled when he addressed the judge, explaining, “This has led me to fear for my life.”
But even worse, he expounded that he “can’t trust anything anymore. I cry every day. I feel so alone. She turned me into a person I never was.”
Hearing about his emotional testimony was bad enough, but then I saw a video of it. Absolutely gut-wrenching. I mean, I’ve never met Aaron, but he seems like a genuinely nice and decent person. I hate that this happened to him, and I hope time will ease his wounds and good people will find their way into his life to restore his faith in humankind.

Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
