Congress leader hits back amid fat-shaming row, cites Kangana Ranaut's old tweet

Day after Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya called out Shama Mohamed for her now-deleted post fat-shaming India cricket captain Rohit Sharma, the Congress spokesperson has hit back.

Highlighting Ranaut's now-deleted post, Mohammed took to X and wrote: "What does @mansukhmandviya have to say to @KanganaTeam ! #JustAsking."
In 2021, the BJP MP bashed Rohit Sharma for his tweet during the peak of the farmer's protests. Ranaut had used derogatory words in her now-deleted post after the Indian captain highlighted the importance of farmers and stressed the need to "find a solution."
Now, questioning the silence of Ranaut's party leaders back then over her derogatory remarks on Sharma, Mohamed has now targeted Mandaviya and other BJP leaders.
Mandaviya on Monday led BJP's charge against Mohamed's "fat for a sportsperson" post. Taking an apparent dig at Mohamed, Mandaviya called the remarks "deeply shameful and pathetic."
